CBX Cupron®

CBX Cupron® has a practically constant resistance over a wide temperature range that overcomes two significant disadvantages of conventional Constantan-the relatively high difference in the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) between the low and high temperature range and the generation of gas when Constantan is placed in contact with glass, enamel, or ceramic type materials. Similar to the standard CB Cupron alloy but superior uniformity of TCR from the hot to cold regions. The TCR of CBX Cupron is virtually always positive in the hot range and is always positive in the cold range. CBX Cupron is always gas free and with its resistivity of 310 ohms - c mil/ft offers higher ohms per pound wire than standard CB Cupron. Meets ASTM B267 Class 5A specification.
