617 is a corrosion and oxidation-resistant, high-temperature nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy. It is solid-solution strengthened with cobalt and molybdenum with oxidation resistance imparted through the chromium and aluminum additions, making it resistant to numerous types of aqueous corrosive environments.
