Hypocore®

Hypocore® soft-magnetic alloy exhibits a unique combination of low coercivity, high permeability, and high electrical resistivity. It is a low-cobalt alternative that offers performance benefits between those found in Carpenter Technology's high-performance, high-cobalt content magnetic materials, Hiperco® alloys, and commercial silicon-based alloys. Hypocore® provides lower core loss and higher induction, even at a low applied magnetic field and can be used at higher frequencies with less heat generation. It has been specifically engineered to increase the efficiency and performance of electromagnetic generators, motors, transformers, and other EM laminated-core components with a high resistivity that limits core losses at medium to high frequencies and higher induction resulting in smaller, more efficient machines.
