CTS® BD1N

CTS BD1N alloy is a nitrogen-bearing, high-carbon chromium martensitic steel balanced to provide superior hardness capability over BD1, with a tempered hardness capability of HRC 60-63. With corrosion resistance similar to 410, it can resist corrosion from mild atmospheres, fresh water, steam, ammonia, many petroleum products, organic materials, and several mild acid environments. The CTS® family of alloys offer superior edge retention and surface finish, along with an ability to be machined to a fine edge and consistent heat-treatability from lot to lot.
