What is your operational status?

Carpenter Technology remains open and operating during this time. 

We take the health and well-being of our employees, our customers, our suppliers, and local communities very seriously. We understand that you may have questions about our ability to maintain our business continuity during this challenging time.

We would like to reassure our customers and partners that we have activated our COVID-19 business continuity protocols globally and are monitoring the situation on a daily basis to ensure that we are able to continue to deliver Carpenter Technology products to our customers.

If any status changes with the state of your operations, will you confirm within 24 hours the associated impact?

All updates regarding Carpenter Technology’s state of operations will be posted here, on our website.  Significant or emergency notices will be communicated via email. 

Do you have defined structures to plan for and respond to any incidents at your location?

Yes, please refer to Carpenter Technology’s Business Continuity Plan for additional information. Several sections relate to this question. 

Do you have surge/recovery capacity to recover in the event your operations slow for a containment period?

Carpenter Technology has and will continue to develop plans in response to this pandemic and any changes to our business. There exists flexibility to adjust prioritization as needed.

Are you capable of working remotely to fulfill your delivery obligations?

Many business areas of Carpenter Technology are currently working remotely, with the exception of our warehouse, docks, and mills who are able to fulfill delivery obligations.

Are any of your critical order obligations currently impacted?

Carpenter Technology does not currently foresee interruptions to our critical orders.   We have received notification regarding our responsibility to continue supply and are in communication with government entities to confirm and ensure supply across the markets we operate in.

Suppliers

Have you been in contact with your key outside processors or component suppliers?

Carpenter Technology is in frequent and ongoing communication with our suppliers. 

Have you contacted your supply base and sub-tiers to ensure they are operational?

Are you taking any countermeasures to protect your business that you can share?

Have you implemented any visitor restrictions?

Visitor restrictions have been put in place at Carpenter Technology facilities. Please see the Screening Visitors and Applying Health Protocols section of Carpenter Technology’s Business Continuity Plan for more information.

What is your plan to ensure the safety of your employees and community?

Communications

What is your customer communication plan?

Carpenter’s Business Continuity Plan is in place and available to customers. In addition, we are prepared to continue communicating to all our customers via this webpage as well as ongoing email updates, as needed.
