302 is an austenitic, nonmagnetic, extremely tough, and ductile stainless alloys in the annealed condition. A slightly higher carbon version of 304 stainless, it is one of the most widely used of the chrome-nickel stainless and heat-resisting steels. Nonhardenable by heat treating.
